About me

Sergiu Ciochina, a professional painter based in Paris, France, was born in Moldova in 2001 and graduated from the College of Arts in Moldova in 2021. With a profound appreciation for the beauty of the world beyond its iconic landmarks, he draws inspiration from the delicate interplay of colors, light, and shadows. His paintings transform everyday scenes into captivating landscapes that blend reality with imagination in an impressionist style, offering a deeply human and unique perspective on the world.

The artist’s creative process is intuitive and deeply connected to his environment. “Inspiration often comes unexpectedly-on my way home, heading to the studio, during my travels, or while taking nighttime walks,” he shares. “A painting might start with just a few buildings or details, but sometimes I completely reimagine a place, creating contrasts with reality that reflect how I feel and perceive it. People appreciate that personal perspective.”

Through his work, Ciochină seeks to capture the harmony between nature and architecture, often painting en plein air to reveal the essence of light and shadow. These elements bring depth and vitality to his compositions, making each piece feel alive.

His journey as an artist emphasizes the transformative power of creativity, encouraging others to embrace their own unique visions and combine diverse elements to create works that resonate emotionally. His paintings reveal how art can transcend the ordinary, illuminating new, previously unseen worlds. Each piece enriches life with beauty and meaning, inviting viewers to see the world through a renewed sense of wonder-through splashes of light and shadow that shape a deeply personal and poetic reality.
