Lilies in the Grand Salon was painted at Château Puy Vidal, a place to which Sergiu Ciochina returns each year. Set within the château and its surrounding landscape, this period offers the artist a rare interval of concentration: time to work, to observe, and to be part of a close circle gathered around art, conversation and the particular rhythm of the place.
The painting draws directly from this experience. The lilies inhabit an interior marked by quiet grandeur, where natural light, memory and architectural space come together.
